Spotify Brings Chat Inside the App for Seamless Sharing

〜 Spotify has introduced a new in-app chat feature, enabling users to send music, podcasts, and audiobooks to friends while holding conversations—all within the app itself. 

At present, this functionality is available only on mobile devices and is restricted to users aged 16 and above, reflecting Spotify’s commitment to safety. It is being rolled out gradually in select regions as the company monitors user feedback and performance before a global release.

According to the company, this addition responds to ongoing user feedback asking for a built-in way to exchange songs and playlists directly on Spotify. For now, the feature is restricted to mobile users aged 16 and up and is being launched in selected regions only.
